Where are you located?

We are located in the historic neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn along the East River waterfront. Our studio is housed in a 100-year old converted rope factory with original architectural detailing, in good company among other small artisan studios - a great place to explore! 

What is there to do in the neighborhood?

So much! There are many amazing businesses in our very same historic building. Check out Anima Mundi right around the corner for plant medicines and herbal elixirs, have a beer and throw an ax at Bury the Hatchet, build your own bouquet with Maria at the flower shop next door, or make some pottery at Wilcoxson Ceramics. Our two favorite slices are a stone’s throw away - grab the best New York slice from Paulie G’s Pizza and then walk on over to Ovenly for the most delicious chocolate-y slice of Brooklyn Blackout Cake. Karzcma on Manhattan Avenue offers delicious traditional Polish fare, best topped off with dessert from Peter Pan Donut & Pastry shop who have been serving the neighborhood for over 60 years! 

How do we get there?

The closest subway stop is the Greenpoint Avenue G station. Another option is the NYC ferry - take the East River route to the Greenpoint stop. 

Is there parking onsite?

There is no designated parking lot, only street parking. We recommend arriving early to allot time for finding a parking spot! 

When should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to give yourself the time to hang your coat, use the restroom, and get settled - we will start promptly at the designated start time!

Can children attend this event?

We welcome children ages 13+ with an accompanying parent/guardian. All attendees will need to purchase individual tickets. Children 6+ are welcome at our Family Friendly Scent Exploration Workshops. 

Do you offer private workshops?

Yes, we offer a variety of group event formats! We can host at our Brooklyn studio or travel to your location of choice. Please email us at events@biosapothecary.com for more details. 

What should I bring?

All materials and supplies will be included. Just bring yourself and an adventurous spirit! 

I want to take a workshop but I am only in town for a few days. 

We offer workshops several times a week so be sure to browse all of our upcoming dates. If there isn’t a match, make an appointment at our DIY perfume bar!

What is the difference between a perfume bar and a perfume workshop?

The perfume bar is a self guided experience. Upon arrival you’ll be seated at a workstation, given a brief introduction, and invited to explore our scent library at your own pace. When you are ready to begin making your perfume a store associate will walk you through the formulation phase. Workshops are instructor-led classes with guided sampling. 

The workshop I want to register for is sold out. Is there a waiting list?
