Chamomile has several varieties, but the two most well-known and commonly used species are Roman Chamomile and German Chamomile. Our chamomile is Anthemis nobilis, commonly known as Roman chamomile or English chamomile, which is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family (Asteraceae). It is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial with feathery, aromatic leaves and small daisy-like flowers. Roman chamomile is native to Western Europe, including countries like England, France, and Germany, but it has been introduced and naturalized in many other regions with suitable climates around the world. Ours is sourced from the United States.
